Have you spilt tea, coffee, or any other liquid on your laptop?
Before we tell you how we can help, you must follow the following instructions to give your laptop the highest chance of survival:

If running on AC power, turn the power off at the mains. (If you have spilt liquid on the mains outlet also, then turn off the power at the fuse box).

Unplug the AC adapter from the laptop. If you have spilt liquid on the AC adapter, then it is recommended that you replace it.

Power down the laptop immediately, and remove the battery.

If running on the battery, then remove the battery.

If you have spilled water,beer, tea, coffee, wine or any other liquid on your laptop or keyboard, try and drain as much liquid out as possible.

Mop up any excess liquid using paper towels.

Put your laptop into an upside down “V” shape (see the “Tepee Your Laptop” Image to the left). We recommend that you put the laptop on a towel.

Do not try and power up the laptop again – this could cause more problems. Also, depending on what it is you spilled, just allowing it to dry may not enough.

If you follow the above steps, we can usually strip down and clean out your laptop components and get it working again without needing to replace any parts. In the case that something does need replacing, rest assured that your laptop is in the best of hands – we will fix your laptop fast and get it right back to you with a minimum of fuss.
Due to the complexity of liquid spill recovery, our typical turnaround time is 5 days. While we will make every effort to recover your laptop from its liquid spill, although we cannot guarantee that the repair will be successful. We do however have a high success rate.
If we are unable to recover your laptop, rest assured, we can almost always recover your data!
