Booking your computer repair with

TerrierByteIT couldn't be easier.

 

Please select your chosen service on the Left and choose your time & date you would like us to compleate your repair.

If you phone and no one is available to answer then please leave a message on our answer machine with your name and best contact number and we will call you straight back.

 

Whether you are booking by phone or by e-mail it is useful to have the following information available;

 

The make and model of the computer (if available)

A brief description of the symptoms of the computer fault (i.e. 'the screen is cracked' or 'the lights come on but the computer will not start up')

 

When you first noticed the fault

 

How you would like to be contacted back and contact details (i.e. phone number or e-mail address)

 

If by phone, when is best to contact you back.

 

General Information

 

Passwords -

If your user accounts have passwords then please bring these with you. We will not be able to carry out or test a repair if we can't log on to your computer.

 

Software -

If you are asking us to repair a software related fault then please bring any software disks you think may be useful. If you don't have disks for software such as your Windows Operating System (many computers come with Windows pre-loaded) then don't worry, we have most versions of Operating Systems available to us.

 

Re-installs -

If you are having your Operating System re-installed then it is a good idea to provide a list of files, folders and software you would like put back on to your computer and also mention if there is any specialist software you use that may be unfamiliar to us. We will make every effort to return your computer to how it was but we may have to ask you to re-install software such as printer drivers or MP3 software if we don't have the disks.

 

Bringing Your Computer To Us Desktop/Tower PCs -

If you are bringing a desktop/tower PC in for repair then all you will need to bring with you is the computer itself. We have plenty of keyboards, monitors and mice in our workshop so we will not need these items to carry out the repair.

 

Laptops & Netbooks -

If you are bringing a laptop or a netbook in for repair then please bring your power adaptor and cables with you. Although we have a range of power adaptors available to us we may not have one to fit your particular computer. Where possible please bring your laptop or notebook in a case. Although we take every care with customer computers remember they are going into a workshop environment and a good quality case is the best way to protect your computer whilst with us. We will always keep laptops and notebooks in their cases whilst they are not being worked on. If you bring a case then please remove any personal paperwork or documents from it. TerrierByteIT cannot accept responsibility for documents or paperwork whilst with us.

 

When You Arrive -

We are located at Wychwood, Church Road in Sparkford this is a domestic place of residence. There is plenty of Free Parking available outside. When your engineer comes to meet you they will complete a 'job sheet' for our records and also give you a receipt for your computer.

 

Weekends & Public Holidays -

Dropping off your computer with us at the weekend or on a public holiday is no problem but we do ask that you call first to arrange a suitable time.

 

On-site RepairsArranging a Time -

When you arrange an on-site repair with TerrierByteIT please make sure there is someone who will be there to give access to the computer. Unfortunately we will have to charge for missed appointments. Our engineers will be with you within half an hour of the agreed time. If our engineers are running later than this due to circumstances beyond our control then we will call you to give an estimated arrival time and to check if it is still convenient. If not then no charge will be made for that call-out.

 

When We Arrive -

When your engineer arrives they will need good access to your computer.

 

Business Users Please note: Even tho TerrierByteIT provide services for domestic, Business & home users,  If you choose to use TerrierByteIT services without informing us that you derive income of any kind from your computer then we cannot accept any liability for loss of earnings whilst the computer is with us or following any work carried out.
